Baby Yoga classes that make you feel whole again

 

Baby & Me is a practice that’s designed to help you revitalise and refresh your body, whilst bonding with your baby! It encourages strength and flexibility as well as relaxation and rest. If you birthed your baby then you’re invited to these classes 6+ weeks after a vaginal birth and 8+ weeks after an abdominal birth. All parents welcome!

You’ll learn how to strengthen your core effectively. You’ll understand how it works, how to engage it properly and how to move through your practice with it still engaged. This ensures that it’s getting as many possible benefits from the exercise that you’re doing. Baby & Me Yoga will teach you all of this, and more, about your core!

You’ll practice full body relaxation in order to encourage a healthy and rested mental state. Some of the breathing techniques you’ll learn are designed specifically for full body relaxation, so you can also use them to help you with your sleep.

Taking care of yourself is a big part of taking care of your children. It’s important to take time to embrace your body and understand what it now wants and needs. Baby & Me Yoga can help you to feel calm, confident and in-control as you flow through your parenthood journey’s.

  • Take the time to strengthen your body by practicing poses with your baby.

  • Becoming a parent for the 1st, 3rd, or 7th time can still feel overwhelming and daunting. It’s important to remember that you are never alone! Baby & Me Yoga encourages you to join our community of like-minded parents and reach out for support when it’s needed.

  • It’s a chance for you to wake up and move your body! It gives you a space to safely exercise, with your baby by your side. We focus on strengthening, flexibility, rest and relaxation. As well as massage and music for babies! It’s a safe way to recover and restore strength in your body after birth.

  • We welcome birthing people of all backgrounds to come to Mum & Baby Yoga from 6+ weeks post vaginal birth and 8+ weeks post abdominal birth. After your 6 week check-up with your health care professional in the UK and the same equivalent appointment if you’re out of the UK.

  • When you're ready to get back into exercise, Mum & Baby Yoga is the perfect way. The practice is designed specifically for your postnatal body, the journey that it’s been through and the journey that it’s still on. Breathing exercises are a form of abdominal healing alone, so they’re perfect for your body, even before you feel like you’re ready to get into anything physical again. Practicing yoga after birth has even been proven to alleviate the symptoms of postnatal depression.

  • Absolutely! We welcome all parents into our Baby & Me Yoga classes. You can even attend the classes before 6 weeks if you weren’t the one who birthed your baby!
