Connecting yoga with your journey in parenthood

The specialist areas of Pregnancy & Postnatal Yoga encourage you to build positive relationships between your mind, body and baby. This is fundamental for your well-being during these times, as well as creating a sense of community.

Being pregnant or postnatal fits in with the fundamentals of traditional Yoga. You learn how to take it slow, approach situations without ego and take time to understand and appreciate your body.

I’m Molly, it’s a pleasure to meet you!

When I qualified as a Yoga instructor, I quickly discovered how much I loved to teach pregnant and postnatal clients. I felt like I had a purpose as their teacher, and it was my job to encourage them to switch off and do something positive for their body and their mind. When I fell pregnant with Elijah I decided to do my extra training and become a specialist in the areas of Pregnancy & Postnatal Yoga. I began teaching when I was still pregnant and went on to have the most amazing birth (even when things didn’t go to plan!).

After giving birth my body dealt with the recovery very well as I was able to use all of the right tools to help it. The pandemic happened when Elijah was four weeks old so I took my classes online and I ran them for free for months. It was amazing to feel our own sense of community, amongst the madness of parenthood and a pandemic! We then gradually started running in-person classes again and that’s when Bump, Birth & Beyond was born.

I wouldn’t have had such an empowering birth experience, or journey as a first time mum, if I hadn’t known the things that I was taught in my Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga Specialist course. That’s why I’m here, to provide a fully accessible and approachable community, to encourage and support you to have the most positive experience from Bump to Birth & Beyond.
